Our Core Beliefs
(I Peter 20-21)
We follow the New Testament as our sole authority in matters relating to our Christian life and worship. It is our only rule of faith and practice.
(Galatians 1:6-10)
We offer no creed but Christ. (Matthew 16:16; 17:5)
We exalt Christ as the only head of the Church.
(Colossians 1:18)
We require for membership only that which is required by God’s Word. The Church is the spiritual body …therefore, we must accept what the Holy Spirit records as being necessary for man’s salvation.
Steps To Salvation
1. YOU MUST BELIEVE.
Not just a “head faith,” but a “heart faith” that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Read Romans 5:1; Heb.11:6; Eph.2:8; John 3:16.
2. YOU MUST REPENT.
Repentance is a “turning from sin,” and involves both a sorrow for past sin and a true desire to live nearer to Christ in the future. Read Acts 17:30,31; II Peter 3:9.
3. YOU MUST CONFESS.
This is a public witnessing to the fact that you accept Jesus as your personal Savior. Read Matthew 10:32,33; Rom.10:9,10.
4. YOU MUST BE BAPTIZED.
Baptism is not just a religious ceremony; it is that act of saving faith whereby the believing, repentant, confessing sinner contacts the blood of Christ (by being immersed in water for the forgiveness of sins). Read Acts 2:38; I Peter 3:21; Mark 16:16; Romans 6:3-5.
The Bible clearly teaches these to be the “primary steps of obedience” which brings us into a covenant relationship with God, through the blood of Christ, which is applied to our souls.
